More young adults skipping the flu vaccine - Yea - Fear tactics not working!!
(NaturalNews) Either the truth about vaccines is finally reaching the masses or Americans in general have simply lost trust in the government and the pharmaceutical industry, because this year many young Americans skipped the strongly pushed flu shot altogether. This act has hardly gone unnoticed, with numerous media outlets warning young adults that they're this year's target of H1N1, also known as "swine flu."
A recently released report by Trust for America's Health shows that only just over one-third of American adults between the ages of 18 and 64 received the flu shot during the 2012-2013 flu season. Statistics show for the same season that 56.6 percent of children aged 6 months to 17 years received the flu shot, and 66.2 percent of seniors 65 and older also received flu vaccinations. Last season, the most vaccines were administered in Massachusetts, with a 57.5 percent vaccination rate, compared with just 34.1 percent in Florida. Only 12 states showed vaccination rates higher than 50 percent: Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Tennessee.
